  1. Jeremy's Clock CSM 1.2.1

  3. What is it?
  4.  
  5. Jeremy's Clock CSM is a Control Strip module that displays the current time and date.
  6.  
  7. Compatibility

  9. The Clock CSM will work on any Macintosh.
  10.  
  11. Installing the Clock CSM
  12.  
  13. If you are using Mac OS 8.5 or earlier, you must drag the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip folder inside your System folder.  If you are using Mac OS 8.6 or later, the Mac OS will recognize the Control Strip - merely drag it to your System Folder, and the Mac OS will move it automatically for you.

  15. With Mac OS 8.5 or earlier:

  17. 1)  Open your System folder.
  18. 2)  Copy the Control Strip Module to the Control Strip Folder in your System folder.
  19. 3)  Restart your computer.

  21. Configuring the Clock CSM

  23. When the Clock CSM first appears, it will look like the display below.

  31. There are several user-configurable options, controlled by the popup menu associated with this module.  To make the menu appear, click down anywhere on the clock portion of the Control Strip, and it will pop up.

  42. Display seconds
  43. If selected, the seconds will be displayed.  Turning this off will make the display smaller.

  45. Use long date format
  46. If selected, uses a longer date format that shows the day of the week.

  48. Small font
  49. If selected, the clock will be displayed in Geneva.  The default is Chicago, which is easier to read, but takes more space in the Control Strip.

  52. Shows the time, and will toggle to the date if you click on the module without selecting any items in the popup menu.

  55. Shows the date, and will toggle to the time if you click on the module without selecting any items in the popup menu.

  58. Shows both the time and date.

  62. The Clock CSM will also momentarily display the current date, when you click on it.  After several seconds, it will revert to displaying the current time.
